This
master suite invokes the 5-star resort living the couple desired.
Every detail was attended to; from the goblet pleat draperies, brocade
balloon valances, beautiful tapestry-inspired bedding, old-world bronze
lighting and a garnet, tufted-back glider. A soothing oasis to escape
to for much needed rest and relaxation.

This guest
room is smart and stylish with its use of contrasting black, white, gray and
crème tones used in the bedding, furnishings and silk window treatments.
The artwork above the ebony headboard features old Hotel Del Coronado prints
which are the perfect accompaniment for the vacationing East-coasters.
The crystal bedside lamps are the crowning jewel in this stylish retreat.

The first baby is always
exciting and here the mother’s excitement shows in this beautiful
safari-inspired nursery she wanted to create for her little princess.
Using their travels to East Africa as their inspiration, a muralist came in
to recreate the wonder they saw on their daughter’s walls. The custom
valances and baby bedding include an antique-inspired animal print, a soft
pastel stripe and a bold leopard print for some added whimsy. The dark
mahogany crib and glider tie in perfectly with the “woodsy” surroundings
while the pink monkey chandelier and the stuffed animals add the perfect
touch of color and fun. Enjoy Madeline!

This guest suite was functional but lacked the pizzazz the homeowner yearned
for. Our inspiration was the beautiful burnt copper silk taffeta
bedding with chocolate velvet detailing. Since the soffit housed
ductwork, we added recessed reading lights and applied a custom faux
metallic finish to the walls and soffit. The contemporary design of
the ebony furniture marries clean lines and sophisticated style perfectly.
Crystal lamps and a brown croco-embossed mirror add a bit of glamour and
richness.

The
homeowners wanted their master suite to be a real retreat (as you can see
from the bassinette, they were expecting their first baby). We chose
rich reds and golds to bring the room alive with texture and color. We
started with the wallpaper in the bedroom and the retreat area and choose
our fabrics accordingly. The brocade curtains in both areas are rich
and luxurious and dress the windows elegantly. The custom bedspread
and pillows include wonderful velvets and silks adorned with gold braid trim
and tassels. Beautiful chandeliers were added in the retreat and above
the master bathtub (not shown) to bring in the elegance the homeowners
desired. Sweet dreams…

In this master suite the clients wanted to
update their surroundings with contemporary furnishings. In addition
to the sleek lines of the ebony furniture that contrast beautifully with the
Bali blue walls and the silver accents, we installed textured carpet, crown
moldings, a LCD television on a swivel arm and new silhouette shades with
iridescent drapery panels to soften the windows. Pleasant Dreams…

A tropical chic bedroom
was inspired by the client’s choice of Tommy Bahama bedding which we
playfully drew inspiration from with his and hers monkey artwork on either
side of their bed and banana beaded palm tree lamps. The four poster
bed features beautiful pineapple detail while the rattan ceiling fan and
matchstick blinds add texture and warmth to the cool tones of the walls and
bedding.

This guest retreat
needed to reflect Sunny San Diego and the warmth and vibrancy of the
homeowner and her family for when her out of town guests came to stay.
The tropical chic inspiration came from the colorful bedding and was echoed
in the flowers chosen for the wall sconces and all the tropical-inspired
accents throughout the guest suite.

New
homes are wonderful except for the unimaginative white walls and the blank
canvas which haunt homeowners. Kids rooms can be transformed drawing
from the child’s personality and favorite colors, here a surfer girl theme
with plenty of color and vibrancy. The high ceilings were brought down
with the magenta color covering the top portion of the wall as well, and
separated with moulding to make the room cozier - bland becomes fabulous!

The
client’s love for rich jewel tones inspired this master suite’s opulent look
and feel. The four-poster bed was the perfect scale for this large suite and
the lighting and accessories were brought in to emphasize the new sultry
sophistication. A reversible custom duvet was designed for flexibility
and coordinating pillows and window treatments were added as the crowning
jewels to this transformation.

You
need days to absorb and enjoy all the wonder in this delightful dream room!
The mother wanted many different animal scenes to adorn her daughter’s walls
and the muralist went to work recreating the splendor you now see… horses,
lambs, ducks, squirrels, bunnies and birds all playfully cohabitate.
The crown moulding, lavender and green embroidered valances with bead trim
and playful lighting all add the finishing touches any little girl would
love.
