This niche was in need of some customization and the client’s country-cottage look inspired this custom entertainment center. The wainscoting on the back wall of the cabinet artfully displays her favorite pieces and contributes to the charm and subtle sophistication of this piece while housing her television and audio/visual components handsomely.

There were many
challenges with this family room focal wall. The red paint coupled
with the outdated brick fireplace surround really made for an eyesore.
We updated the look by laying travertine over the brick and then adding a
beautiful ebony-stained fireplace mantle. We designed a custom
entertainment center to house the families’ new plasma and finished the room
with crown molding and accessories.

This kitchen nook and
closet was no longer utilized, but the new owners didn’t want to waste the
space. By reworking the wall and adding wrought iron accent “windows”
and a custom designed door, their wine collection is easily accessed and
displayed. Venetian plaster was applied to the walls to give them the
old world look they were after. The portable wine cart works well as
an appetizer and wine server and expands the kitchen for improved
functionality and traffic flow.

Even though this open
floor plan was suppose to create an open feel, the abundance of toys and
too-large armoire made the space feel anything but free-flowing and
relaxing. The cabinetry was finished in lacquer white to compliment
the shutters in the adjoining living room while the countertop was finished
in an ebony stain to provide contrast and durability. Beauty and
functionality the whole family can enjoy.

TThis home office was in need of pizzazz so we livened up the walls with a
raspberry color, where we drew inspiration from the drapery fabric. On
the wall opposite this one pictured we added a gilded gold outline diamond
finish to pull out the gold in the draperies as well. The gold is
carried throughout the room in the upholstered desk chair and featured
artwork.

The media niche looked
unfinished and lacked functionality and beauty. We designed the wall
unit around the existing fireplace and allowed for plenty of room for the
new plasma television and surround sound system, including plenty of storage
for DVDs, CDs and other necessities. We added down-lighting for
display items and finished the unit in a warm mahogany stain to compliment
the existing family room furniture.

Sometimes all it takes
is vision to turn drab into fab! In this patio the pavers were relaid and
Corsican mint
was planted in between, a soothing fountain was placed against the far wall,
beautiful foliage and flowers were planted at varying heights. Potted
plants were brought in for added visual interest and to accommodate foliage
where soil was not so good ~ the transformation is breathtaking.

The pebble fireplace
surround and hearth were fine for a casual beach look but the client wanted
subtle elegance in her living room. So we transformed the fireplace by
creating this custom surround and hearth design from beautiful hand-crafted
artisan tiles in a celadon color ~ simply chic and absolutely elegant!

This corner space was cluttered
and lacked functionality. The homeowner needed toy storage for her
young son so we did away with the desk and designed a custom reading nook
with storage below that created just the prefect play area which made both
mom and son happy.
